Performance-focused bodywork

Move better.
Recover faster.
Feel stronger.

I’m Xavier Vanvlasselaer, a clinical massage therapy student building HAWI Performance in Berkeley, California. This future mobile sports massage practice will focus on athletic recovery, functional movement, and thoughtful sessions tailored to the person on the table.

The HAWI approach

Body performance through better care.

01

Recovery

Bodywork designed to support demanding training, active lives, and the work between one effort and the next.

02

Mobility

Attention to movement restrictions, muscle tension, and the areas that keep the body from moving comfortably.

03

Individual care

No automatic routine. Each session is shaped around the client’s goals, feedback, and needs that day.

Training in motion

Learning in the classroom. Applying it with athletes.

I’m completing NHI’s 800-hour Core Massage Therapy Program and plan to continue into the 450-hour Advanced Neuromuscular Therapy program, pursuing a total training path of 1,250 hours.

Through a sports medicine externship at Saint Mary’s College of California, I’m also gaining hands-on experience working with Division I athletes across multiple sports.
